“Self Help Is Confidental”

The “Initiative Forensik” (Forensic Initiative) in the Federal Association of mentally ill people (BApK) thrives on the commitment of individuals. The committed women and men meet above all in self-help groups. They meet on the spot, and here and there they also thrive on the support of the forensic psychiatric clinic. The self-help groups, however, are independent of the forensic institutions. Occasionally the dialogue with the psychiatrists is sought. What is clear is in any case: the discussions in the self-help groups are confidential and remain so.

Currently (Winter 2016/17) there are offers for groups or contact persons in:

  • Andernach; Rheinland-Pfalz
  • Berlin
  • Konstanz/Constance; BW
  • München/Munich
  • Ravensburg-Weissenau; BW
